A trip on the London Eye

26th October 2004. I treated my folks to a ride on the London Eye.

Looking up from nearer the front of the queue

We've just boarded -- looking back at the people joining the next capsule

Looking down on people still queueing

Not sure what this building is

[Mum and Dad]

The new Hungerford bridge and Waterloo bridge

[Hungerford bridge]

The shadow of the Eye on the Thames

Looking North-East(ish), St Paul's Cathedral

Westminster -- not a great picture because of the reflections on the glass of the capsule

Looking South -- Lambeth bridge, Vauxhall bridge (farther away), Millbank tower (on the bend on the North bank of the river), MI6 headquarters (on the left-hand end of the Vauxhall bridge)

Looking Northwards at the structure of the wheel, on our descent

After the ride we went for a walk along the South bank and saw these street performers

Dad, with Waterloo bridge and the 'Gherkin' building (Swiss Re Tower) behind
